To: Alumni and Friends of RH

If you are an alumni of RH, this post is for you.
  • Have you heard of the RH Fish Tank in front of RH office?
  • Are you regularly asking about the RH Fish Tank?
  • Did you enjoy the RH Fish Tank; do you still enjoy it?
  • Do you continue to speak of the RH Fish Tank?
  • Would you wish to see the RH Fish Tank continue being beautiful?
  • Do you wish you could lend a hand but didn't know how to?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above...
do consider assisting in the continued success of the RH Fish Tank!

Would you contribute to its upkeep and maintenance?
Your humble donation of $5-10/month will allow us to contract a seasoned aquascaper to visit the RH Fish Tank fortnightly; he will care for the aquatic plants, professionally clean the tank and filter, add fertiliser, nutrients and/or medicine when necessary, as well as advise us on the RH Fish Tank in general. In essence, there will not be pressure on any RHesident to drop his studies/activities for continued RH Fish Tank success (time spent on major repairs due to negligence, fund raising, etc.)

Would you?

A Brand New Chapter!

You have to see it to believe it;
the rejuvenated RH Fish Tank!

Although less populated than before, it is now filtered by an Eheim Professional II canister filter (i like this filter very much, and thank you SCRC!) and it is sitting pretty atop a brand new (albeit expensive) cabinet!

First a new cabinet had to be bought to replace the damp and rotting old one which was unstable and could have collapsed at any moment. Then it had to be de-watered > de-planted > de-soiled > de-populated > cleaned > shifted atop the new cabinet > re-soiled > re-planted > re-scaped > filled with water > connected to new Eheim Pro II > populated... all done in 8hours! It is now up and running! Thanx to all who helped out in your big or small way; even your pails contribution was vital to the success of this operation!

Dear Freshmen, welcome to Raffles Hall!
Immerse yourself in its tranquility,
appreciate its beauty,
contribute to its future,
participate in its excellence!

The prestige and our pride is clear for all to see;
The RH Fish Tank, truly an RH icon!

It's Back!

There once used to be vibrance, activity... and life.
Now it is in a state not too desirable.

BUT! Things have taken a turn for the better!

A volunteer has volunteered to begin learning about the RH Fish Tank, learn all about planted aquaria, and begin reviving the RH Fish Tank! In the coming weeks you will see improvement to the quality of the fish in the RH Fish Tank!

Within the next month (or two) RHesidents will enjoy a fully refurbished RH Fish Tank then everyone will get to enjoy and appreciate (again) the pleasantness, the tranquility and the beauty of the RH Fish Tank!

The maintenance and upkeep of the RH Fish Tank will be discussed again after the refurbishment: (i) aux? (ii) committee? (iii) external contract? Any recommendations, feedback, comments, criticisms thus far?
