And as part of the newly thought of Adopt-A-Fish Programme, we have...

Liren's "Pai Kia"...

..and Joyce's "Huang Jieying"

They have been very generous by buying a Gurami each for our fish tank. So if you'd like a fish named after you, just leave a comment to indicate your interest in donating to the fish tank :D

here's the pai kia and ms. huang socializing with the loach

we'll be having a fund raising soon for the fish tank fund..so support us!

RHevival

for those who didn't know of the previous tanks' condition, the old cabinet was in quite bad condition after it got wet.

The old cabinet couldn't close, and could have collapsed anytime as the structure was already weakened (quite scary to think of all the fishes and plants lying on the floor in front of the office)
The browns stains that you see is due to water soaking the wood

So thanks to our ever supportive alumni, Daniel Kwok, we managed to get a NEW CABINET!

Since it exactly like the old one, I think not many people would have realized that we changed it :/

So after a night of some tough labour (many thanks to all those who helped), we managed to get it done within a night

Here's how the tank look right after we filled it up with water again.

Too bad we don't have any pictures of the tank before we started the clean up..then you can see the difference :D but just take a look at the above pic and imagine the colour of the water to be brownish green.
Unfortunately, I think we lost quite a few shrimp (as they were too small and might have got poured out with the dirty water. One of the fishes committed suicide too, as we found it lying outside of the pail that we put it in. Maybe it couldn't stand the water anymore, coz as Y3 puts it the water was like shit in it's purest form.

After about 24 hrs, the tank is almost as good as new!
